San Antonio is saying a collective “finally!” about the (somewhat) cooler weather that’s hit. When I say somewhat, I mean 60’s in the morning, but 80’s, and yes even still, 90’s by the afternoon. Definitely not time to pull out the heavy coats and chunky knit sweaters, but yay for being able to layer! Also, I’ve found my new go-to bootie for Fall. Scroll through for all the details, and to shop the look.

Alright guys, this post makes me kinda giddy, like school-girl giddy. Giraffes are one of my FAVORITE animals, so when the San Antonio Zoo added a family of giraffes to it’s grounds, I was super excited. And now that you’re able to feed the giraffes, I’m like hand-clapping, bounce-up-and-down, excited. It’s my absolute favorite thing to do at the Zoo! Say hello to Alan, Cosmo, and Brayden.

I love having fresh greenery in my house. Love it. But the poor plants don’t seem to love me; I’m having the hardest time keeping them alive! I water, I don’t water, I place in a sunny spot, I fertilize, I replant…..I’m not having luck. I need your help, guys. Hit me with your best tips for caring for plants – OR – let me know which plants are low maintenance and can survive my house!

The state of Texas is currently under emergency. The flood in Houston is catastrophic and the coast line has been shredded. After frightening weather predictions for San Antonio, the storm decided to take a bit of a turn. I’ve heard it said that it missed us by just 30 miles. 30 miles. Can you imagine? If the winds had just blown that a little more our way, we could be in just as dire a predicament as Houston and its surrounding areas are currently in.
If you’ve been watching the news coverage and have felt compelled to help, but haven’t been sure how to start, here are 10 ways that you AND your children can help right now, from right here in San Antonio. Continue Reading
