*thank you to the San Marcos Premium Outlets for sponsoring today’s post
I’ve lived in San Antonio for 8 years, and this past week was my first time visiting the San Marcos Premium outlets. You’d think a girl like me would be there all time. I mean, Champagne Taste, Beer Budget; outlets were made for me! And these outlets: Gucci, Prada, Kate Spade, BCBGMAXAZRIA…. they have it all! I always pass them on my way to Austin, and every time I tell myself I”ll go “one day”, but when you’re a single mom of 4, “one day” keeps getting pushed back further and further. The idea of toting all 4 of the minis around with me for a full day of shopping (because, who are we kidding, I could literally spend all day there) just isn’t an scenario I wanted to play out.
But when the outlets invited me out for a shopping trip, how’s a girl to say no?!
It may look like we hit it all, but we didn’t even get through 1/4 of it. These are the largest outlets in Texas, with over 145 stores including designer names like: Burberry, Carolina Herrera, Tory Burch; children’s stores like: Carter’s, OshKosh, Gymboree; and home decor names like: Pottery Barn, Williams-Sonoma, and Restoration Hardware (click here for a full list of stores). It’s dangerous for me to be let loose shopping. Mortgage payment or new fall wardrobe? It’s a serious decision.
My favorite find of the day, those gorgeous thigh-high boots from Steve Madden. I’ve literally been looking for a pair (that didn’t make me feel/look like Julia Roberts in Pretty Woman) for years! Mission accomplished.
Jackie, “What would you wear those with?”
Me, “Don’t get practical on me, Jackie. This is shoe shopping!”
