Spring Fashion (and food) at the Boiler House

I’ve been adding a ton of dresses to my wardrobe lately and for a mid-week media dinner last week at the Boiler House, I pulled one of my new pieces out to wear.  Spring is here (actually, it seems like San Antonio skipped Winter and it’s been Spring for a while) and that means colors galore! If you can’t tell from this look, I’m not one to shy away from bold pieces. I love this Jacquard paint-splatter dress and, despite my 11 yr. old son telling me that it was “ugly”, you guys seemed to love it too; thanks for all the sweet comments on instagram!

For everyone that’s been asking and is interested, this dress is from SheIn.com and was only $15.99! Shop it for yourself, here, it runs fairly true to size (I got the size small and it’s a tad big). I love shopping SheIn.com for fun pieces that are very affordable. However, you get what you pay for. My tip for shopping the site: make sure you read the reviews, don’t rely on just the stock photos.

Now onto the food and a look at what new menu items you can expect this season from Boiler House.

My picks: Foie Gras Torchon, Char-Grilled Octopus, and the Oxtail Gnocchi. All with a glass or Prosecco, of course.

And for all you local mama’s wondering if the Boiler House is kid-friendly, though they don’t offer a specific kids menu, that’s never stopped us from going. My mini foodies like to order things like the meatballs, cheese and charcuterie board, and the bubbling swiss spread. Plus, their brunch is amazing! We always opt for a patio table so the minis can roam around the courtyard area. Weekend plans, made.
