It’s back-to-school and this year is different for us in the fact that I’m no longer homeschooling my 2 oldest (11 & 5 yr old boys). After a TON of thought, school tours,
grilling speaking with the school director, etc… I decided to enroll my boys in one of San Antonio’s newest charter schools, the Anne Frank Inspire Academy (but that’s a whole other story).
We’re now in the 3rd week of school and one thing that I love doing for my boys, for them to know that I’m thinking of them on their long days away, is to hide a little note in their lunch box. They love it! My 11 yr. old said it made him feel special and asked me if I could make sure to keep doing it and on the day I forgot, my 5 yr. old reminded me as soon as I picked him up from school.
My art skills being pretty close to zero, I went in search of some help. Here’s a round-up of 25 of the cutest I’ve found for boys and girls, young and old, from cutesy to cool.
In order of appearance, from left to right and top to bottom…
Disney Junior characters (Sophia, Jake, Doc)
yellow and black
(blank) animal note cards
fruit and veggie face-stickers
fruit and veggie people
(blank) fruit and veggie note cards
gray and gold
I know I’ll be printing out quite a few of these for my boys; Pokemon, star wars, the post-it ones (how cool are those?!), the interactive hidden pictures, soo many choices!
Thinking of using some for your minis? Be sure and let me know, which ones would they love finding in their lunch box or backpack?
