Bumpdate – week 19

19wks

I’m 19 weeks pregnant! While 20 weeks is the official half way point in pregnancy, 19 weeks is my half way point. None of the minis have made it to their due dates, all 3 were early (Rayne at 38 weeks, River at 39 and Honor at 38) and I’m 100% A-OK with that, I was soo ready for them to be born at that point!

Hubbs and I celebrated the half way point with a sonogram. If I haven’t said it enough, I love sonograms! Mini babe was curled into a tight little ball for the majority of the session, making it hard for good pics, and the soon tech went through our appt. pretty quickly so I didn’t get to see as much a I would have liked, but enough to hear baby’s heartbeat, know that his/her measurements are right on and the smallest of my small is weighing in at a healthy 10 ounces. There was a bright spot on the heart that we saw, but have been assured that with all our other test results and measurements, it’s nothing to worry about, we actually experienced he same thing with River and he was (and is) perfect.

Oh, and this past Tuesday hubby felt mini babe move for the first time! He still can’t feel the little kicks that are happening but this one was a big roll, big enough for daddy to feel!

No smell or food aversions or cravings to report but one pregnancy side effect that started this week is my skin is dry, dry, dry from head to toe. I guess I need to up my water intake, mini babe is sucking away all the moisture out of me.

And if you’re wondering if it’s a boy or girl, it’s a……surprise. We’re still holding strong on not finding out mini babe’s sex and keeping it a surprise until birth. I had to look away during some of the sonogram so not to spoil the surprise. After all the sono’s I’ve had I’m pretty good at telling if it’s a boy or girl, not to mention that if it’s a boy it can be pretty obvious!

Catch up with my pregnancy with my last bumpdate post.

Sonogram days are always so much fun!! I always wondered how women kept it a surprise when they were in sonograms because I thought many times you can totally tell! Now I know.. you just don’t look!
