Calling all San Antonio food lovers, Culinaria’s festival week is right around the corner, one of my favorite weeks of the year. If you’ve never heard of Culinaria or festival week, let me tell you, you’ve seriously been missing out!

Culinaria can pretty much be summed up in 3 words.

Eat. Drink. Give.

This local non-profit organization is dedicated to establishing San Antonio as a foodie destination while benefiting our local chefs, restaurants and communities. Various events, seminars, dinners, etc.. are held throughout the year with proceeds going right back into our city through scholarships and the like. Their most recent project being an urban farm that’ll help promote a healthy lifestyle through it’s farm to table practices.

Festival week features 7 events and 8 dinners held across 5 days, May 14th- 18th. The dinners feature some of our area’s top named chefs and restaurants such as Arcade, The Boiler House and Cured. Each multi course meal will feature wine and spirits pairings and have yet to disappoint me. The events range from VIP and formal to an amped up backyard BBQ. Tickets sell out fast, so head over and grab yours here ASAP!

Take a peek into some of last years events with my recaps of The Grand Tasting, Burgers, BBQ & Beer and my experience with dinner at Luke and The Best of Mexico.

Christina, it looks like the Food Truck Event (May 15) is family-friendly. Do you know if any of the other events are fun for kids, too?

We took our oldest son (then 9) to the best Mexico with us last year and he has a blast. There’s not kid activities or anything but he loved all the food and live band. The burgers BBQ & beer is held outdoors at the pearl so we took all 3 of our minis with us, it’s family friendly.
