I received the April sugar and spice VoxBox from influenster loaded with products for me to test out and review.
Inside we’re full sized products from Colgate, Vaseline, Dickinsons, belVita, and Nectreese.
In the past month, I have tested and reviewed the products, read on to see what I thought.
Colgate’s new optic white line, including the toothbrush, toothpaste and mouthwash, were some of the items I was the most excited to try. Who doesn’t want a whiter smile? And to be able to achieve the look at home without high costs?! Perfect!
The toothpaste has a great minty flavor, foams up nicely and really does work! Now this isn’t going to give you a pure white Hollywood smile, but it will whiten the couple of shades that it promises! I can’t speak as to how well the mouthwash whitens because I only used it a handful of times. If you’ve ever swished or brushed with hydrogen peroxide in your mouth to try and whiten, you’ll understand when I tell you it foams like that. It’s almost unending and combined with the flavor, was off putting enough to make me stop using it.
The spray and go moisturizer from Vaseline was very convenient. This spray lotion finely and evenly mists onto your skin. The smell was wonderful, almost a toasty, nutty perfume. It does easily and quickly absorb into your skin, but I will say that it’s not for people who have dry skin. Since it moisturizes so quickly and finely, I feel like it doesn’t go deep enough into your skin to work long term.
The breakfast biscuits from belVita, I had never heard of. They’re thin little cookies made with natural ingredients in a variety of flavors. I tried the cinnamon and brown sugar ones and as you can see from the above picture, they’re mini queen approved! I love how they’re individually packaged which makes them portable & easy to throw in a diaper bag; just the kind of snacks I look for.
These oil control towelettes from Dickinsons are my favorite thing in the VoxBox! When I read oil control, I thought they’d be like those thin paper oil blotting sheets but they’re moist towelettes. Made with witch hazel, these are perfect for makeup remover wipes, are gentle, natural, non irritating and have all the skin benefits that witch hazel provides!
I love witch hazel, I use it to make my own DIY facial cleanser/toner. So I was thrilled with these towelettes. I went camping last weekend on the California coast with my family and I took these along. They’re now always in my makeup bag!
There was also a box of Nectreese packets that I have still yet to use. I’m weary of any sugar substitute and don’t use any so nothings compelled me to try these. Have any of you tried or recommend them?
